Poster Redesign

For this project, I was tasked with redesigning or editing a movie poster of my choice. The movie poster I chose to edit was from the movie ‘Baby Driver’ due to having a good idea on how I could edit the design.

Original Poster

Process

The process of creating an edit for this poster started with doubling the height to create more space. I started by extending the road towards the camera while leaving all the main action still in the background. This was done to provide space for the logo and any extra writing that would be added to a movie poster. The process of extending the road was done by drawing temporary lines that follows the edges of the extended road and filling it using the clone stamp tool. The logo was then moved to the extra space and stretched to make it appear flat on the surface of the road. Extra lines were added to mimic trails being left by a car.

Final Design

To finish the edit, I decided to change the hue of the background, car, glasses and logo to a shade of blue. I really like how it turned out, especially considering I knew considerably less about Photoshop compared to now.
